Applications for the participation in the "Mémoire des Ports de Méditerranée" project, which has been organised by the Federation of Mediterranean Maritime Heritage from France, and which will be held in 2013 in Marseille when it will be the cultural capital of Europe, have been announced. The Batana Ecomuseum together with the City of Rovinj and Rovinj's Port Authority ranks among the 28 port cities which have registered to participate in this interesting project which is designed to broaden the awareness of the richness of Mediterranean maritime heritage and its cultural values and the networking of international participants working in the area of its protection, presentation and evaluation. In the forthcoming phase the international jury will choose 20 candidates who will present an 11-panel exhibition, a 15-minute film and programmes of existing heritage programmes (intangible heritage).
