Continuing our mission of preserving and creatively engaging intangible cultural heritage, the Batana Eco-museum proudly presents a new project created on the foundations of long-standing experience in developing activities in the field of cultural tourism and social engagement.
Our cooking classes are intended for the wider public, especially guests visiting Rovinj, who wish to learn more about the Mediterranean diet, a phenomenon on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage.
The Mediterranean diet is not just recipes and ingredients, it is a way of life. This is precisely what we wish to achieve with our new project, to give our guests a unique experience of local everyday life through learning about the ingredients, preparation and consumption of food in an authentic ambience and dialogue with the local community.
BOOKING INFORMATION - choose between one day class or three days class or take both!
1. ONE DAY MEDITERRANEAN COOKING CLASS
The price includes: a one day cooking class, lunch at Spacio Matika
Price: HRK 625 per person; minimum 2 participants, maximum 6
Duration: 9 am - 1 pm
Available days:
HIGH SEASON from 1st May to 30th September
May, June - every Monday and Tuesday
July - every Friday and Saturday
August is not available for booking.
LOW SEASON from 1st October to 30th April
Every day except Sunday
Important: a minimum of one day notice prior to the booking is required
2. THREE DAY MEDITERRANEAN COOKING CLASS
The price includes: a 3-day cooking class, lunch every day at Spacio Matika visit to Eco-museum Batana and a ride in a batana.
Price: HRK 1500 per person; minimum 2 participants, maximum 6
Duration: 9 am - 1 pm
Available days: all week except Sunday during the low season from 1st October to 30th April (three day class is not available for booking during the high season)
Important: a minimum of three days notice prior to the booking is required
Accommodation discount for three day Mediteranean cooking class: In partnership with Heritage Hotel Angelo d’Oro our guests are eligible for a 15% of discount in their accommodation facilities (hotel or apartments)
