Rovinj-Rovigno, bathed in the spring sun, comes to life with its striking colors, making it an ideal destination for Easter holidays by the sea. What better way to invite locals and guests to the traditional Easter programme of the Ecomuseum-Ecomuseo "Batana" than with the oldest spring-decorated Batana "Risorta"?
The primary schools in Rovinj decided to engage in a creative task by replacing their classrooms with the Great Pier. They participated in pre-Easter workshops organized by Ecomuseum-Ecomuseo "Batana", where they made delicate white-pink almond flowers from paper. The students then used the flowers to carefully decorate the oldest batana in Rovinj, which is permanently "anchored" in front of the entrance to the Ekomusej-Ecomuseo as a sign of welcome.
With a floral wreath, "Risorta" announces Batana's traditional program, bringing tempting Easter tastes, smells, songs, and music to the Ekomuzej-Ecomuseo.
All visitors are invited to enjoy the traditional menu, which will be served for free, including fried fish and a glass of wine. Additionally, fragrant Easter sweet bread and boiled eggs will be distributed - up to 2024 of them! On Sunday, the program will begin at 10:30 a.m. and run until 1 p.m. There will be a break, and then socializing will continue in the afternoon from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. On Easter Monday, the program will start at 10 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. As with every event at Ecomuseo-Ecomuseo, live music will be performed throughout the day by "Sugar Notes," "Viècia Ruveîgno," and "Dj So Chic Trio."
In addition to Ecomuseo-Ekomusej "Batana", the organizers of the program are the Tourist Board - Ente per il turismo Rovinj-Rovigno and the City of Rovinj-Rovigno - Città di Rovinj-Rovigno.
